Lunch with a Sardinian wine maker - Giovanni Montisci

Join Fabio in conversation with fellow Sardinian & winemaker Giovanni Montisci over lunch on Sunday 10 March.

Giovanni's winery is located in Mamoiada, in the heart of the Sardinia’s mountainous interior, the region known for real life bandits*. The Cannonau (grenache) grown here is some of the finest produced in Sardinia and will rival some of the most highly esteemed from Châteauneuf and would stand up to the Barolo's of Piemonte. Ask Fabio to pour some on the day for a comparison if you are interested.

*the bandits of Sardinia date back to the Roman Empire, and were at one stage seen as heros & liberators from the foreign occupiers and rulers such as the Spanish & the House of Savoy

A la carte is available, with a few Sardinian specials, including suckling pig which we recommend to pre-book!

These wines will be poured by the glass on the day, and available to purchase through Sella Wine Store.
